CL5648 rewire question
«

Hi all, I have a 2004 CB Outdoor wood boiler. The electronic controller is non-programmable for high limit beyond 180, so the max temp I can run my boiler at is 180 and I'd like to bump it to 190-195. I am looking at replacing the digital programmer with a Dwyer or something similar.I am not sure how to wire it in once I remove the old one.
I will include pics of the wiring diagram that came with the 5648 and a pic of the Dwyer TS2 Digital temp switch.
The Dwyer has connections for the probe input (#1 and #2)- I'm guessing those are the 2 wires from the aqua stat.I'm not sure if mine is adjustable or non-adjustable .
#7 and #8 are for power - no problem
I'm confused which wires I connect to #9,#10 and #11.
Any help would be appreciated. Will attach pics later

You will want to send power out of the normally open terminals, look at the schematic on the control, typically power would come in on the center of the 3 terminals from your high limit switch and then back out to your blower/solenoid on the right side or normally open terminal

Richard, I do not have a high limit switch - that was only on the Canadian model.
Reading between the lines, I'm guessing I would feed power to #8-run a jumper from 8 to #10, and then run a feed to solenoid from #11.
Correct?
Would I connect my aqua stat to #1 and #2? does it matter if it's non adjustable?

It sounds right but in order to know for sure I would have to look at the diagram, you might be well off to put a separate high limit on the unit just in case your controller malfunctions

OK, How was your summer, did you retire yet or are you still working? Late start on your install don't you think?

good summer -
retiring in june
install complete and ready to go from last year. just tweaking the controller. you gave me a phone number of some guy in Wisconsin, I believe, that knew the wiring for what I'm talking about -lost his number
My cell signal is terrible here at work, so I will get photos to you asap. Based on what I send you, do you think you could sketch a rough pic of how to wire?

Could you resend those to my E-Mail, mainlycustomsawing@yahoo.com, the Aqua stat I can read and it would be a jumper from your hot in#8 over to the common #10 and then power out would be #11, the schematic on the boiler I am unable to read on my smarter than I am phone!
