thanks guys so much, all great info, especially when you start scratching your head, it is still high, but not always so its definitely something small I hope, one other thing, which didn't happen in the past ,when I open the door the flame immediately starts and gets big really fast from a smoldering one, this tells me a air leak right or am I just grasping now...

first of all the heatmaster has been working great all season without a burp, until, go out this am and the furnace is at 203,first time this ever occurred, i run into garage ,hit theromstate, turn on inside house as well, mmmm takes awhile to get her down, then inside temps on gauge plummet fast,ok that may be normal, however, I then shut all thermostats down and things are just off, I check pump at furnace, working fine, inside as well, gotta keep an eye on her now for the day to see if everything is normal,,,just when I was thinking this would be a maintenance free season.....ill keep yas posted .....

Some of these stories are funny, however I think we are all on the same page, lol, when I wake up or if I get up in the middle of the night I know right away if everything is good or if it is panic time, wife thinks im nuts as well, and yes ive gone out in the middle of the night when its minus 20 in shorts or whatever is closet to the bed, ahhhh the joys of owning a wood furnace.....this year ive tried something different,,,, I lit the fire in November and I don't look at any gauges or anything unless theirs something wrong and guess what everything is running perfect , I load the old girl up every 12 hours and this year has been a treat........try it, stay away from the gauges etc and just let the furnace burn.....amazing what will happen if you just let her do her job.........

hey pal, just a quick comment, I also have a mf 5000, I currently heat 4500sq feet with no issues, ive had my hiccups but with help from these guys I ve figured things out along the way, be patient and it wil work out, 3000 sq feet should be no problem at all for the mf 5000....

« on: November 20, 2015, 02:32:27 PM »
hello everyone, just wondering what everyone else sets their garage temps at, my garage is attached, im out there alittle bit, my question is not with regards to actual heat  but what is the best temp for a typical garage so that it is easy on the boiler and your home ,construction wise.....

HeatMaster / unkown bottle of treatment
« on: November 13, 2015, 07:12:45 AM »
hello guys, a friend of mine who has a 10.000 mf gave me a bottle of ,I believe conditioner, from when he bought his furnace few years back, so my question is, I have no idea what it is ,the bottle is white and round and holds approx. 1 litre, all of the writing is gone as they were outside for a while,it is still sealed good, does anyone know what it is and do I use the entire bottle......its def from heatmaster guys so no worries there...I just don't know what it is and how much to use...any ideas.....thanks again...he used two bottles in his furnace.......

interesting, what if your system uses only one pump to circulate your hot water to your zones...this year I just wanna see how efficient the boiler is for a month without the heat on in the garage and bonus room above it that's all, come dec, then I wanna turn on those zones...just a lil experiment

HELLO GUYS, QUICK QUESTION, I HAVE IN FLOOR RADIANT HEAT IN MY ATTACHED GARAGE, ITS ONLY FOUR YEARS OLD SO ITS WELL INSULATED, NOT TURNING THE HEAT ON OUT THERE FOR ABIT YET, NIGHTS ARE GETTING COLD, WHEN SHOULD I GET CONCERNED ABOUT ANYTHING FREEZING, IM THINKING IT HAS TO BE REALLY COLD BEFORE ANYTHING FREEZES FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME...ANY SUGGESTIONS
