Went to fire up the opt. 250 for the season tonight and I need to replace the blower.  Where is my best chance of finding one tomorrow so we can be warm tomorrow night?

First chance would be your local dealer/person you bought it from.

Other then above not much chance of getting one on a Saturday.

spare parts on the shelf can be a blessing, let this be your lesson learned...every one should keep the things that burn out most often on hand like  a blower, solenoid and pump

there are 3 other fellows within 10 mile of me that all have the same parts or can get by in a pinch with what I have on the shelf. if one of us needs a part I reorder and then they pay the reordered price. it always seems its ten at night or a holiday when something goes "pop" and there is not a store open to get a part.

I’ve gotten lucky, still running the same solenoids, controller and pump that went on the stove when I built it, that was 15 years ago.

Google Marathon O701 and there are a number of options for you. Amazon even has a couple. It'd be spendy, but you could opt for overnight shipping and have it by Tuesday or so.

If anyone needs onin Maine I have a sparefrom the factory. Squirrelcage and housing, 4 bolts and two wires and running. Of course you will have to order me a replacement.

There is no dealer around these parts.  Everything I've done has been through P&M.  Searched high and low Saturday to no avail.  When I called the company, the best they could do was get one on a truck for this afternoon.  I ordered 2 along with an aquastat and actuator.  Little more than I wanted to spend but I certainly don't want to run into this problem when its cold out for real.  A few space heaters and a fire going in the fireplace and the wife and kids were happy...well almost! Ha!  Temps still chilly today (for around here at least) but warming up quite a bit the next few days.  Thanks to those that offered suggestions.

So the new blower came in Friday.  I went to install it only to find the cord was about 6"-8" short.  Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it was annoying to have to splice a piece from the old cord just to get me up and running before finding time to do it right.  I'm guessing the factory has changed the placement of either the blower or the box on newer models?  As I said, not a big deal, just annoying especially when time was very limited this weekend. 

I did buy an extra motor, a spare actuator, and aquastat while I was at it so I'm not prepared.

Could have been -20,    I do hear what your saying, mine is not the plug in type, it's wired right in a junction box.

Correction Coolidge, mine is wired right into a junction box as well.

Mine is also wired into a junction box BUT it is the identical fan to one on the back of a free standing woodstove in the living room.....Actually a pretty common unit
