Wiring my OWF

I am a first time poster but a veteran wood furnace user - I have had/used my OWF for approximately 10 seasons and originally I had a HVAC Tech hook up my OWF to my forced air oil burning furnace. The tech hooked up the thermostat to the OWF to kick the circulating pump on and simultaneously turn my fan/blower on (from the oil furnace) to circulate the heat throughout the house. Last year I had a problem with my oil furnace controller. The oil furnace tech (different than the one that originally hooked up) replaced the controller and hooked the oil furnace back up. All good but could only run OWF manually by turning the oil furnace blower on and jumpering my OWF circulating pump to run. I called the oil furnace tech and said that they need to hook up the way it was hooked up before so I could run my OWF automatically. They told me they could not (mentioned something about laws/regulations) and anyways that is a completely different story. So how do I hook up my OWF to work automatically like before?

Could you explain a little more about the wiring you have now? Is there already an aqua stat on a hot water line to chose between the oil furnace burner starting or just turning the fan on?

Before the OWF was there the forced air oil burning furnace was hooked up. Then I got the OWF and had a different HVAC Tech hook the OWF using the what was already there for the oil furnace. Same thermostat only difference was that the wiring in the forced air oil furnace was manipulated. When the thermostat called for heat instead of the oil furnace firing it would turn the circulating pump on along with the forced air furnace fan. I had 2 wires that if I wanted to run the oil furnace all I had to do was wire nut them together.

Now that is not legal but there are ways to do it automatically, they do require an add on aqua stat and relay however.

Obviously I would need an aqua stat and a relay - Where do you recommend I get the parts and how do I do it? Thanks

Relays and aqua stats can be purchased at any local supply house, I prefer Taco or Argo, just be sure they have an isolated end switch, the power wire for the relay must originate from the same breaker as the oil/ gas burner, normally I do this at the thermal switch directly above the burner.

slimjim - understand from the drawing that the aqua stat (upper left) and the relay(in middle) are the new parts? Are all items on drawing residing within the oil furnace? What is TT (To TT on Burner). R and B on the aqua stat - what does R and B represent? Sorry for all of these rookie questions.

Yes on the TT and the aqua stat typically has three terminals, b is the common, w makes with b on temp rise, r breaks with b on temp rise.
