Storage at higher elevation than boiler??

Would it be feasible to have my storage, 1000gals, higher than my boiler?

It would be easier to set up my storage this way due to lack of space in my basement for the propane tanks. It would be much easier to install the tanks in an outbuilding close to the house and boiler. Iit is approx. 10 feet higher than my boiler? What issues would I be creating by doing this?

Are you running open or pressurized system? If open and you get a leak at the tank it will drain out the boiler overflow.

There will be a little less pressure in the upper tank. Probably about 4.5 psi less at 10'
