Title: Heatmor PLC
Post by: Peter764 on October 22, 2017, 03:11:42 PM
Hi

Does anyone know what the brand name of the plc heatmore uses in the 400 ss model.
I bought this outside boiler in 2012.

Help on the programing software would also be great as I could convert it over to a different brand if need be.

Can you take a picture of it?

u can switch out the PLC to any kind you would like. I used a nice big Honeywell on my Heatmor 400 DCSS.....take a pic of the current on you have...you could go with something like a love or siemens controller as well

The current controller looks like a proprietary controller. I'll take a picture of it in a couple days when I get back home.
The LCD Display is all white and I can't make out the messages. Do the above mentioned controllers have a 0 to 10 volt analog output for secondary damper.
also need three outputs for main damper and 2 speed fan? Will also need inputs........not sure how many or what kind? Will have to look at prints and check out the temperature controller also.

have you tried calling Heatmor directly and just asking for a replacement? Mike Galusha is there main Tech guy there and he has always been very helpful to me in the past.

they haven't been very helpful in the past, however, I'll try calling them one more time
Maybe they've changed in three years or so.

Maybe you have already resolved this, but that looks like a Unitronics PLC.  I think their software might be free so maybe you can still upload the program from your existing controller and download to a new one.
