Contact these guys too.  I've spoken with them a few times. Hopefully they'll start following up on the pattern.
Federal Trade Commission  1(877) 382-4357
Phone Busters  (Canada's counterpart for Fed.Trade.comm) 1(888) 495-8501
Royal Canadian Mounted Police 1(613) 993-7267 and remember Arthur lives in truro, Nova Scotia

Be prepared for a good scolding for paying in advance "that should have been a red flag, etc...." but they will file the reports and hopefully it will at least slow Arthur down at some point. If all of the posts I've read are legit the FBI should start taking notice as well due to the numbers.  Good luck people!  I'm still out every cent of my money and I've confirmed the address in Maine that they were using is actually a UPS store and the PO box for Wood Doctor Head Office Inc. was closed this month.

Such cowards!! Won't pick up the phone.  What do they think I'll do if they answer? Strangle them over the phone?  Sooooo frustrating!!  May have to plan a trip to Nova Scotia.  It can't be any more expensive than the money I've already been robbed of.

Try the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  Spoke with them yesterday - their contact info is on the internet.  They've got a fraud division and according to the guy I spoke with they're pretty serious about their warranties and fraud in general.  Arthur's name should be popping up pretty soon when he tries one of his frequent border crossings.    Good luck.  (I'm 4 months waiting for a refund on a boiler that wont be built.)

Wood Doctor / Re: Is Wood Doctor Done? Anyone had contact in last 2 weeks?

New Years Resoluyion 2012... listen to your gut.    Mine told me to suspect, but they insisted they were honest so I believed them.  Duh.  Never again!  Wish I'd used a credit card too!

Wood Doctor / Is Wood Doctor Done? Anyone had contact in last 2 weeks?

None of the phones work at this point.  Most answering machines are full, the ones that ring through go unanswered and emails are not opened.  Anyone had contact with this company in the last 2 weeks?  I suspect they've pulled up stakes & bolted with my money and everybody else's but I can't confirm it.

Has any gotten a refund in the last couple of months?  Wondering if there's still hope.

Wood Doctor / Victim of Wood Doctor Fraud? The FBI needs to hear from you.
« on: December 17, 2011, 07:19:16 AM »
Taking full payment for boilers you can not deliver is a felony.  Selling HE8000's out of a factory that doesn't exist is a serious white collar crime and it's happening in Virginia.  The FBI is aware of it but my personal loss of $10,000.00 isn't enough to get them on yet.

If you have been promised a boiler and you haven't received either the boiler or your refund PLEASE call your local FBI office.  They need names, dates and dollar amounts of your loss.  Once the size of this scam is realized in dollars it will raise a red flag for them and maybe we can stop Arthur, Richard & Brian from doing this again.

His doorstep is in Nova Scotia.  Too far for me but the FBI may find it's worth their while.   I don't think I was their first call.

BBB has a new alert on the Wood Doctor site.  "BBB has recently received numerous complaints against this business".  The Wood Doctor address has also changed to Arthur's home address.  Doesn't look good.

Wood Doctor / Re: HE 8000 not being built made??

Part of the mystery is becoming clear.  Not only are the HE8000's not being made but the VA factory that was supposed to produce them wasn't made either! No factory, no HE8000's but lots of consumer dollars that went into somebody's pocket.  Haven't gotten a cent back yet myself.  If anyone has  ideas on getting a refund please speak up.  Thanks.

I've been forced to take legal action against this company since they don't plan to make my boiler.  Too bad they didn't mention that months ago when they required full payment with a promise to "get it to you in 2 weeks".  I have to admit I've never been lied to so pleasantly before.  Arthur's a joy to speak with but he hasn't said a truthful statement all year.  Integrity used to be so important to him if you read his older posts but now he's become a pleasant crook.  Interesting transistion.

Here's another one.  If they don't recognize your number you've got a good chance of getting through.  I've been blocked for all 3 cell phones, work phone & home phone.  Again, if they don't owe you money you've got a chance for contact.  Good luck!

Arthur appears to be good to his word if he doesn't owe you money.  Won't take calls, won't open emails.   Never gotten a return phone call unless it's to order something from him.  Going the other way, straight line of lies.  Never seen anything like it in my life.

The bank I wired the money to confirmed that it went into the Wood doctor account.  Funny, the banker can't get through to Arthur either.

Wow.  Just found this forum and the story is exactly as I suspected.  Aurthur told me he had the materials to build the HE8000 at the new factory last March and gladly took my payment, in full, for mine in August. "4 week turnaround".   Can't get an answer on the phone or email.  Getting really cold outside and no WB in sight.  Any suggestions to getting the money back sooner than later?
