Muck Boots
« on: December 17, 2013, 12:21:34 PM »

Does anyone else wear Muck Boots?  I have a pair and I love them! They are extremely comfortable and warm.  My wife always makes fun of me because I wear them everywhere we go.  I have been wearing them for filling the stove and when I cut firewood.  Just tuck your jeans in and you can walk through the deep snow without worrying about getting it in your boots

Check em out if you don't already have a pair!

I have a pair. Wear them all the time around the house doing chores. Easy to slip on and off and clean up easy with a water hose as well.

Fabulous boot!  I have the "chore" Muck boot.  Perfect for keeping in the mud room for a quick jaunt out to the stove.  Mine don't have any insulation, so I can wear them in the summer and with some wool socks I can wear them in the winter as well.  Very comfy.  Well worth the hundred bucks I paid.

Nope, never heard of them.  I'll have to look into them.  For when it's muddy out and I have to do some work or walk through some deeper snow I'll toss on my old rubber fire boots from when I was in the academy.  Steel toe/shank, virtually indestructible, and made to be hosed down.

Been wearing them since the early seventies, not always "muck" brand but something like them. Used to call them Barn Boots. Now I have the camo ones from TSC  that are made by Itasca with Thinsulate. Love them.

Those fire boots are nice too! I think the soft sole is what makes those muck boots so comfy.  They are a lot more durable than they look, too.

I have a pair of the Muck Chore boots and wear them all the time.  I live on a farm and they take a beating and get covered and chicken and cow poop all the time.  I don't dare wear them anywhere else cause I would be tracking stuff all over the place....  I do love them and they are worth the money...  My only complaint is they get a little HOT in the summer but when that time comes I usually switch over to something different....

I have both Muck and Bog brand boots and I think the Bogs are more comfortable.  However they have got a leak from crawling thru barbwire fence feeding the cows too many times.

The Mucks are warmer though.

I too have a pair of Muck chore boots and they are awesome.  Easy to slip on and off and really comfortable.  Best chore boots out there in my opinion.

Well jeez, I guess I'm gonna have to try a pair. Everybody has good things to say about them but I've been a little reluctant to stray from the Lacrosse Burly's I've been wearing since i was a kid(not the same pair). I never got the Muck Boots because I thought rubber that the Lacrosses are made of would hold up better than neoprene on the Muck Boots.

Are Muck Boots tough? I spend alot of time working in thick brushy woods.

I have been wearing the burly's for about 3 decades as well.  but I have friends that wear the muck boots and love them.  Around here, the burly's are about 30-40% less expensive so i have stuck with them myself.

Heck yeah, wear them all the time.  Got a pair of Cabela brand steel toe for 55 bucks a few years ago.  Makes the trek to the owb quick and warm.
