HeatMaster / Rope Seal
« on: December 15, 2014, 09:37:22 AM »
I have a MF 5000, and it has been very warm for this time of year in northern Missouri. My Question is, my rope seal pulled out of my fill door from sticky creosote around the opening, stove was new this summer what do I need to do, replace the whole seal or try to use some kind of glue to stick it back in the grove that the seal sets in, if so what product do I use. So far I have been shoving it back in the grove but it wont stay cause every time I open the door the seal comes out of the bottom of the door.    THANKS FOR HELPING.    :bash:

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Finally Heatmaster 5000 hooked up
« on: April 21, 2014, 05:24:31 PM »
Got my MF5000 hooked up, sheww that rehau pipe is stiffer than a wooden d****, and tougher than cement, I think you could drive over it with a ton truck and not dent the stuff. Forcast is going to cool off next week to lows in 30s to mid 50s so I will try to fire that mother up. Going to start with 175 degree with 10 degree dif. The stove is full of water with the treatment added. I have already circulated water through out the system hot water exchanger and stove exchanger. Have I forgotten anything? Please chime in. Also if you all wanted to know I have a 95 foot run to a 1800 square foot home.

Equipment / New Stihl
« on: March 24, 2014, 09:02:13 AM »
I just purchased a new stihl pro 261c with a 20 inch bar to replace my old, I REPETE my old husky Rancher44 that melted down. I am really impressed, now this is a great running saw! I only have ran two tanks of gas through this saw so far and it runs like a banshee, can hardly wait till after it is broke in. I had a hard time deciding between the ms261c pro or the ms291 the dealer said the 261 would rap faster, have more power, and is about pound lighter than the 291. This saw starts like a dream. I have ben told it is all in the stroke of this engine. It is a little Monster, it stays right with my son in laws ms 291. ;D

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Finally got my OWB HOME
« on: February 14, 2014, 06:00:39 PM »
All my supplies came in wednesday sooo thursday morning I hooked on to my 6 by 12 Rice trailer and my son in law, wife and myself drove an hour and picked up two MF5000 OWB, 250 foot of Rahue Pipe and all the other goodies. This pipe I purchased was around 15 dollars a foot shewww! I was told it is super tough and it was the best, at that price it should put it self in the ground, o well once and done! Any hew I can hardly wait to get it all installed, by the way this was the first time I had actually put eyes on a Heatmaster, I bet you all think I am nuts spending that kind of money and not even eyeballing what I purchased, I researched OWB every day for about two months and after I finally got to see it I knew I had made the right decision. Going to be zero to night in north Mo.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / New purchase!
« on: February 04, 2014, 05:19:27 PM »
I just pulled the trigger on a new MF5000 pick it up on friday. After having an electric bill for the month of january of 560.00 in northeast Mo. In a 1780 square foot house running the thermostat at 62 degrees just about makes a god loving man want to fight, or beat the hell out of someone. By the way this house was built in 2007 well insulated and the best windows money can buy. I guess i am just needing a good word that I am doing the right thing. At the time I am writing this post it is a blizzard out side and 17 degrees. I sure hope i am doing the right thing.     PS I hope to be installing this weekend or early next week.
