Chris,

That should stay in there on it own! I guess you can wedge a tapered piece of wood in the mouth of the thermowell to hold it!

Coach,

I would cut the air flow at the fan, do you have an auto damper? If so lift the auto flap and  tape part of the air intake off, this will cut your air flow. If not enough, tape off more!

Woodbutcher,

The site you are referring to is not Billy Shavers site either.

If you go to that site it refers to Randy or Ben. Randy is in Wisconsin and Ben, North Carolina!

To all,

That dealer is a guy named Randy, not a very nice person. He used to say he was the National Sales Rep. for Shaver. He misrepresented his self in my opinion, he was, and is just a Dealer.

He gets folks to the site through Shaver, then talks Shaver down and tries to sell them a Nature's Comfort.

He still sells the Shaver forced air units, I guess and the Top Loaders too. The Web site is conceiving, to say the least.

Kind of bait and switch!

The site was not Billy Shavers site, just a dealer site.

Billy's Shaver Web Site is http://shaver-furnaces.com/

I am sure they are not supposed to backdraft out the air supply. The way it looks there are several of them doing just that.

To all,

How is creosote building up on the fan blades. Are the furnaces back drafting?

Flash,

Your just wanting to heat the 900 sq. ft? A 12 x 18 is 90,000 btu at 180 degree water! Where are you located? If it is well insulated you should be able to heat that with 20 to 30,000 btu's!

Chris,

Run the pump on high speed! Is this filter your putting in the system a Y strainer? An actual filter could reduce the
circulation in your system and not be good!

Chris,

I would be glad to help with your install, but I must ask who is your Dealer? Do you have a install manual? What treatment was
recommended when you bought the furnace?

Airforce,

These are pressure gauges that you are siting, an open system will not show much pressure I would not think. The temp. gauges are a lot higher. The 1" is around $40.00!
