Brazed plate exchanger question.
« on: August 25, 2012, 03:12:27 PM »

Hello I am installing my hot water heater plate exchanger. What I am wanting to know is can you lay your exchanger flat on water heater it would be the easiest way for me to plumb into it as well be fewer connections but I seen the instruction manual says if possible mount it vertical any way if I leave it setting ontop of water heater will it prefom just as good as vertical and. Also is f3 in from boiler f4 out to my water to air exchanger and f1 is my cold water supply in and f 2 is hot out to my water heater on cold input is this. Correct? Thanks for ur help.

Sure you can mount it any way you want except I would recommend you not have it with the outlets facing down. Doing so could cause it to have a slightly higher chance of airlocking.
