Portage & Main / Controler calling for heat while steam escapes

I'm in my 3rd year with a PM 250 after the learning curve no big issues till today while having record lows. My Johnson control is set for 185 and is reading 170 +/- while the fill cap is blowing steam, the safety secondary kicked it off. Anyone else have trouble with this controller or could the problem be something else? Thanks Wilson

Portage & Main / Roast for supper

Fired my Optimizer 250 up 2 weeks ago. Already cooked a pair of cornish hens and a corned beef brisket. The beef came out wonderful. It cooked on "idle" for 30 hours. (need a warm day for this). The hens were okay they cooked for 1 1/2 hours with the "cycle on".
