Title: Current manufacturers producing epa cert furnaces!!!!
Post by: Smokeless on October 01, 2017, 08:02:45 PM
Hello moderators.
I have people ask questions sometimes on some furnaces that are no longer in production. Even though they are on the EPA certified furnace list. I'm sure people are wasting time looking into these furnaces and where the nearest dealers are. only to be frustrated further by finding out they do not manufacture or are out of business.
Can we get a header in for current manufactures you can actually buy from.  You can word it how ever it makes sense. Thanks. Then lock it so there is no jiber Jaber on it.

I’d be easier to just change the title of each one, for example, Hawken Energy-no longer in business. Or Hawken Energy - no longer selling OWB's, support only.

I agree.

Marty so you are saying after the manufacture (not in production) or( in production)?? I guess that would work. Thanks.

Something like that, except its kinda given that if a manufacturer is listed they are in production, so maybe something like Hawken (not in production-support only), ditto with Ridgewood except I think they aren’t offering any support either so Ridgewood (not in production).

I’ll work on this in time, if other members could update the manufacturers here in this thread it would help me greatly. Have a few stoves to install over the next week or so and have beans ready to cut soon as the rain stops. If everything is good with a company IE Central Boiler, Woodmaster, Heatmaster then no need to add it here.

Yes Marty. That sounds good. When you have time.
