« on: October 09, 2015, 10:14:55 AM »

What size vent pipe do you guys recommend using and does anyone have any suggestions for a float? Thinking it be nice to have so one can easily check boiler water level. Thanks!

Used 1” pipe on all mine for a vent. An old brass toilet bowl float would work well if you can find one, would have to be in boiler though before welding water jacket shut.

My Ridgewood has a 1" vent and a sight glass to show water level.
