Title: how long to get the water to temp.

Was wondering how long it takes your water to get up to temp when you first start your boiler for the season? Thanks for the responses in advance.

The last woodburner i built took probably around 2 hours that i remember.  It felt like forever.   I thought i was having a draft problem because i thought it was taking too long.  But once up to temp there has not been 1 problem at all.  I am finishing up my second build now, and someone contacted me about building them one.  UGH.

Also depends on how efficient it is, what kind of wood, and how many gallons of water it holds.

CB eClassic 2400, with no load and about 350 gallon water jacket; took about 4-5 hours with a small fire (took my time burning up junk wood and scraps, while cleaning up the yard)

It will take a solid day to get detached garage (4k sf in-slab) and house (2500 sf in-slab and 1500 under subfloor), up to temperature.  This is assuming its not too cold out side, one year it took about 3 days to get detached garage up to temperature, because of waiting to long to set heat going then a few trouble shooting issues.

All depends on water capacity, wood quality, and outside temperature. I've had my AquaTherm up to temp in has little has 45 minutes, but most of the time it takes about 1..5-2 hours.
