Soon as I can sell my furnace I'm looking at a heat master 10000e and central boiler 6048.does anyone have these and how much sq ft are you heating and how many cords do you burn? I just picked up my logstor dual 1" can't wait to install it and see the wood savings.

I love these kids of threads!  Your decision can be easily answered with just a few secondary questions because these two stoves are quite different! 1. Do you want stainless steel or carbon steel? 2. Do you want natural draft or forced air? 3. Do you want to be able to burn coal? 4. Do you want to pay $12-$13 thousand or less than $10,000?

I'm heating 3,000 aft of terribly insulated house, 800 Sft of garage, domestic water, and my hot tub. I still have room for the bonus room above the garage when I get that exchanger hooked up. I'm only into my first season, so I don't have very good wood consumption estimates. I've never had to load more than twice in one day, and I've burned some seriously junk wood.

I strongly endorse Heatmaster. I love my stove simply because of the design. I think CB makes a quality stove, but I just can't get past their salty prices. I just don't think they are worth what they charge. I think P&M boilers are in their price range and offer a better product.

Brand new.the e classic are the ones that are expensive but have to burn really good seasoned wood in

Well, that eliminates item 4 and my rant in the last paragraph then! My quotes from a year ago were substantially higher than 9 grand, that's for sure! However, my first 3 questions are still important! Especially number 2. I feel like the forced air gets you quicker recovery times and a hotter more efficient burn. I could live with carbon steel and no grates, but I think the forced air is a must have. I think that point is fairly obvious by how many stoves are natural vs. forced.

Another difference is the firebox. Not giving pro or con, just a fact. HM is round. CB has a wavy top and vertsides. HM has an ash pan, CB does not.

im debating between the exact same stoves, im leaning towards the heatmasters because of the reasons CountryBoy said and my friends a dealer and about 5 miles away, although ive never heard anything negative about central boilers they are simple and proven

Got the heat master 10000e and its pretty awesome.would highly recommend it!

I dream of owning that boiler.  If we were to move out of the city right now, that would be my boiler of choice.   How long have you had it running?

Yes I notice a big difference with the old stove I couldn't even turn garage heater on it would just run and run and never shut off.loaded it 1/2 full Friday nite because I wasn't use to the heat master yet and never put wood in till sat nite.this stove is a beast I'm still getting use to it I have top temp set at 180 with 12 degree diff seems to work pretty good.I have back draft setat full open.what are other heat master guys running there's at?only losing 3 degrees on whole loop have temp gauges on back of stove one right after pump and the other before return port.another great feature I like on my stove is the shaker grates and ash pan.seems like it gets more of a complete burn.and thanks to Scott for all his help along the way

All the 10e guys on here have the rear draft full open. I run 175-12 on mild (average above freezing) weeks and 185-15 on cold (sub-freezing) weeks. I think my load is just about perfect. 12 minimum burn times on crap wood. Never have had to burn off creosote. Great stove!

Forgive me if you posted in another thread, but what is your load like? Sft, insulation, water, hot tub?

Heating 5000 sqft and dhw.my house has 18ft open ceilings in half the house and 25 windows with one whole wall in the living room is a wall of windows.so I have a pretty high heat loss.really impressed with the 10000e
