Wow, what an event! 

I went to every owb booth incognito to learn about each product and how they market it.

I can only say I feel sorry for the consumers, there is no way possible anyone could decipher that much hot air.  Everyone claims the best and backs it up with little useful information.  Being someone who deals with this stuff daily it's easy to ask the right questions and see if there willing to lie and all do.  I was impressed with Troy franzen's empyre booth and the portage and main guys.

your right portage and main and empyre  was the best very help full. i couldnt hardly get the rest of them to even talk but still checked out stoves.

No natures comfort wasn't there.  I'm not real sure what there plans are going forward with no EPA phase 2 units available

But phase 2 stuff was what everyone looking at stoves was talking about and the 2013 date at which all non EPA phase 2 stoves Would no longer be able to be produced..

Also some talk starting up about EPA phase 3 stuff....  That will be a pain

Even more regulations on emissions, it will get crazy hard and expensive to pass it I do beleive

A little disturbing isn't it?  Work hard your whole life and try to save money, recycle dead wood, make room in the forest for new growth that will clean our air and government comes along in one swipe of the pen and wipes out your checkbook to warm your family.  Then comes on the air to complain we Americans are not saving enough to live on or retire on.  I don't remember reading our forefathers burning propane or epa fireplaces to heat and cook with.  Sounds just like the stuff Washington fought against as a revolutionary, too much regulation.  Oh yeah, city boy,  exactly how should we run our farms?  please, do tell of all your expertise and experience.  "well my hand book says....."

And by the way, none of this stuff is legislated by the people we actually elect.  It is:

EPA
Judicial Fiat
Executive Order (Sorry, President is elected but Executive Oreder is way out of control)
Czars (a way around the fact that our elected officials needed to approve cabinet level people).

And this thread is about the National Farm Machinery Show ... So evidently farmers still have the right to assemble.  Aint America Great!
