We made these last summer with our Boy Scouts to cook breakfast on made pancakes bacon and sausage let them burn and make a shish kobe and stick it in the middle when it burns out the middle use hard wood use a chain saw cut down all but 3"make 3 cuts like a pie the boys had a great time

I have a customer that owned an optimizer 250 ran 1 year sold it and bought a BL 3444 shaker great its been our coldest winter than last talked to him the other day and wood consumption is about the same as last year less maintaince less aggravation better than a CB

I 1/4 all most all my wood if small will half it also try to put bark side to the outside wall and fill in the middle. I stack the fire box full to the top every loading it will dry the wood use a bent rod to poke the coal bed before loading run the boiler temp 195 -190 just went to all green wood fresh off the stump burn baby burn 22" -24" wood

I picked up a 200 this past year that burned all the wiring out of it and looks like it got hot when warm weather comes will start the rebuild with some changes

I would probably take the pump out and if you have a check valve on the return line i would take the cover off to get the water out of it

4 years ago i ran an aqua therm and my blower motor died no spare and it was the weekend had to scramble hooked up my shop vac on blower and duck tape called Grainger on Monday for overnight delivery make due with what you have waiting to get another 1 to 2 ft of snow this weekend keep warm everyone
