I get this noise too only at the front i think its from the return water not being circulated to the front of the furnace.

Thats the problem i'm having silicone squashes to nothing and leaks like a siv. thank you for the advice

Hondaracer is right the shaker grate is the only difference its just a regular wood burner with a shaker grate and they call it a coal/wood furnace so it can be sold in pa and other states.  my manual said nothing about coal voiding the warranty.

I'm in western pa tried some mine run didn't work out at all was way to fine burned really hot and fast then nothing water temps would drop way to low will try some nut coal next and see how that works out

Thank you i have seen that others changed to a rope gasket and didn't know what size to get. I tried some mine run coal this year didn't work out so well going to try some nut coal and see how that works out.

Got a 165 coal first week of november furnace has working very well did a couple mods i read on this site only big problem is door gasket, i want to replace with rope gasket and want to know what size gasket i should get.
