Plumbing / How far can you bend rehau insulated pipe
« on: April 28, 2015, 12:55:21 AM »
I'm bending my pipe straight up behind my concrete pad. I used a ratchet strap to help out a little bit but the plastic outter shell started to crease a little bit. How far can you bend the pipe and not hurt it? Smash the pex pipe inside?

Plumbing / Added kickspace heater
« on: April 21, 2015, 04:33:12 PM »
I'm installing a new heatmaster. I added a kickspace heater in my bedroom as it is sometimes cooler in that room. It uses 1/2" line.  I have a single loop running to my sidearm, then going to my water to air in my furnace, then before the line loops back outside to the furnace I have a 1"X1"x1/2" tee then 14inchs down the line is a Venturi Tee where the return from the kickspace heater goes back into. This is plumbed the way the kickspace heater instructions stated.  Will I be able to get all the air out of the lines? The instructions showed having a air bleeder before and after the heater but the Heatmaster is not a pressurized system so I hoped all the air would work itself out. Am I living a dream or will it work.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Anyone burn straight Bitumious coal?
« on: December 29, 2014, 06:21:12 PM »
Anyone with a owb, with good shaker grates and forced air blower like the  heatmaster ever burn soft lump coal just by itself instead of mixed with coal. I'm wondering how it acts with the forced air blower. I know with a natural draft stove u have to keep the ashes shook out really well to get it to burn good, I'm wondering if it's still the same with the forced draft

Fire Wood / Ton=?cord
« on: December 27, 2014, 11:08:30 PM »
I can get semi loads of good logs 95% red oak, then some hickory an white oak, delivered free for $32 a ton. I have got 14-15 ton before and ends up costing around $500 give or take $40. Can anyone give me a guess of how many cords 15 ton of green oak is? Just trying to figure a rough guess of how many cords of wood I'm getting from a semi load
