B&G life expectancy on my stove

How long a life are you guys getting on your pumps on Heatmaster stoves. I'm a B&G

I'm running two badger pumps. 1 of them didn't make it through the first season, but I get a free replacement under warranty. The second one is into its third season. I'm probably going to upgrade to Taco, Grundfos, or B&G next time after these die.

Have a Grundfos I installed on my first build almost fifteen years ago, still using it, still just as quiet as the day it came out of the box.

Wow 15 years is great. This is my first year with my B&G and just thought I might wanna keep a spare laying around incase this one failed like on a Sunday morning and 2 ft of snow. Just wondering how big a hurry I needed to get in to get a spare on hand

I'd say order a spare as soon as you can. The one pump I had that failed, did so in the first year. I was without a spare and it almost cost me dearly! Luckily, a guy on this forum lived near me and let me borrow his spare pump to my replacement came in!

it's common to see them last the life of the stove. Then sometimes one will just quit out of the blue.
