I watch mine with my mfi software. Obviously all depends on heat load. No load full idle it runs 5 hours between cycles. When my furnace runs it pulls 3 degrees everytime the FHA blower runs for 7-8 mins. In mild weather 30 plus the FHA runs twice per hour. Today at 16 degrees for a high the FHA blower was running 8 mins on 10 mins off. So today th boiler was running every 1:45 to 2 hours. Mild temps more like 3-4 hours. 195 gallons of water. Running 160-180.

All depends.

Depends if the shop and house are calling for heat at the same time.

Open the big door several times in an hour and all three heaters kick on even the 450 gallons of hot water in the shop stove doesn’t stay hot for long then if the house calls for heat too I’ve had the 400 run a long time at 176-177 degrees, but that also isn’t with a full load of wood either.

Mine is anywhere from 2 times per hour to every few hours depending on heat load. The differential will make a big difference too. If you set it to 5 degrees instead of 15, it would run about 3 times as often.

When I think of how often the stove runs, my thoughts go to how often does my furnace blower kick on and off.  I swear I'm so tuned to my cycling of my inside furnace blower.  It can be 7am and my body hears if the blower is running too long and it gives me anxiety.  I work second shift, but when I hear the blower has been on 10 Plus minutes I wake up knowing temperature is low.  I can run my hand across the registers and get a accurate reading about where the boiler temperature is.  My old lady calls me crazy..  Maybe I have OCD.. I know I'm not the only one to slowly wake up to a furnace blower running longer then it should, its like a rock gut feeling oh please... If you have green wood the more reason to say please have enough coals. Takes a lot of effort to get out of bed, I throw whatever clothes I have near the bed, I have gone out in shorts in a panic to add more wood.  I'm retiring to a warm place is my plan..  I do have some fun saving money and burning wood and watching the fire burn.  Honestly folks the older I get the more I hate it.

Cold house in the morning means the wife is waking me up to get the fire going, around here that doesn't happen.

I have a side arm heat wxchanger, so it's always drawing a little heat from my stove, that's why I only get about 2.5 hrs max before it kicks on no matter the temp outside usually. I usually put wood in my at 430-5:00 sometime before dark no matter how cold it is. If it's 11 outside like it is now I'll prolly go check it around 11 or noon,  if it was warmer I wouldn't even look till load time.  I' usually can tell how low on would it it by how long it has to run and when it shut off if there is still a wisp of smoke that lingers out for a while then it's good. My woods real dry. After first or second run there is no smoke. Just clear heat waves while it's running.  If I had to get up to worry about ruining out of wood, I would want a bigger stove. I'm burning 75%pine 25% hardwood, and burning 24hrs when 30-40s. 11 this morning so I put 40% pine and 60% hardwood. When it' gets below 0 I guess I'll start running all hardwood.

My c250 firebox is pretty small compared to most.  I only cut my wood 18-22 inches long.  So I don't believe I'm putting a lot of wood in. Haven't used 2 cord total of pine and hardwood since October 1
