Title: How cold is it

My fill site tube is froze this morning but the unit is keeping the house and building warm with lots of wood.

wow , hadn't seen that before, yesterday was nice in the 50's , today it's steadily dropping supposed to be 4 tonight !tomorrow just as cold , cmon spring !

I noticed the water in my tube was froze a couple times in the past 2 weeks

It has been froze for for a while now and not going to thaw any time soon with the cold coming from Canada. We have wind chill warnings for tonight and tomorrow. Air temp was 3 when I logged on and dropping.

What set temp do you guys run on those stoves?

I have mind set at 170 -  180

I run 170 - 180 with wood and 177 - 180 with coal.
