been over 2 months, 2 pump failures this year, bough a back up and still haven't gotten it back
-
OUCH, that is why I have backups off all pumps on shelf in mechanical room.
But man 2 months seems a BIT overdue, where did you order from. I know around here most big boxes carry some of the lower end Taco and Grundfos pumps; would have to go to supply house an hour away to fancy ECM pumps (Grundfos Alpha/Taco Bumblebee)

they are under warranty from Tennessee outdoor wood furnace, aint had my call returned either

Do you want me to send you a pump?? 2 - 3 days tops
-
Good luck, we have been waiting on parts from them for months, have been told several times they were shipped. Would not buy another unit from them due to lack of service.
-
After second call asking about pumps, I would have requested teh tracking info; if they did not or could not provide I would have bought my own and sent them the bill

I'm gonna guess the new pump will fail also. Obviously there is a problem that needs to be fixed so you don't have another failure. Whether you have wrong size or or bad pipe layout , you need to figure it out to prevent another pump failure

I would agree you shouldnt be going through that many pumps!

how is it a bad layout direct run from owb to stove

When you pulled the circs, did you find anything inside them, Slag, pipe insolation, rust etc.

If you have a large number of elbows or restrictions, that increase the head pressure; you are making the pump work harder than it needs to. You should try and keep a pump in the middle 1/3 of its pump curve; this helps the system also by not over-pumping or putting excessive head pressure on pump.

Where is the pump located? Are you sure it is pumping the correct direction? If it is in the house, are there any high spots in the pipe where air could get trapped?
Is it mounted correctly with the motor horizontal?
Is the outlet on the OWB at the top or bottom? If the top, have you have any boil overs that lost much water?
What brand are the pumps? If they are cheap off brand it could be that they were just defective. (could be if name brand too but not as likely because the name brands have better quality control)
