If any one is close to louisville ky the national farm show is at the fair grounds feb 13 till the 16 there are quite a few owb dealers that set up there just thought i would let everyone know about it.

Fire Wood / dose any one burn slabs.

I have a mill just down the street from me and i know the guy that runs it he has told me to come get all the slabs i would like so i went down there this week and got a good truck load and tried it out i dont get near the burn time out of them but they are easy cutting and handleing has any one else burned them and what has been your experience with them most of what i got was pine oak and poplar in this load.

Equipment / huskee or still saw

I have been running a huskee 372xp for years and i dropped a big oak on it about a week ago they dont make that saw anymore so i have been looking at a little bigger saw i have looked at a still 660 and if i go back to a huskee i will have to order it as no one in my area deals in the pro huskee saws so parts and service for the still would be a lot better around here any advice would be great thanks

Installed my hoss 400 the second week of dec and i am could not be happier i am getting 18 to 24 hour burns out of it hot water 3800 sq foot house and 1200 sq ft shop with 6 females in the house i can get a hot shower now

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / DI water for OWB

Has any one on hear used DI water for your OWB i just installed my boiler and have it up and going now for my house and my shop and hot water in both i did treat my water but was wondering why not use DI water in it as it wont cause any build up in my water jacket should extend the life of the boiler and the pumps and pipping any one have a thought on this lets hear it thanks.

I have a ge geo spring water heater it is a heat pump hybrid dose any one know if it is ok for me to just run stright in to it with my water out of my plate exchanger?

I have spent the last six months looking at buying a new owb i have two guys close to me that have them one has a central boiler and the other has a taylor 450 i have looked a quite a few others and i think i may get the taylor 750 dose any one have any info or advice for me before i go spend 10 k thanks
