General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Northland brand
« on: March 14, 2015, 03:28:16 PM »
In doing more research I came across this brand online and there seems to be some of the good points according to what I read here such as a round fire box, 1/4" steel, chimney exiting the back of the stove.
An interesting feature that I've not read comment on are the 2" water drain on front and back, would this be useful?
A search here shows only 6 past threads on this site with few having any experience either in use or just coming across them.

So is there anyone with experience with the Northland and otherwise what do you think of their potential?

Thanks

Plumbing / hydronic air radiators opinions?
« on: March 05, 2015, 02:01:46 PM »
Doing research to heat my basement which has no HVAC duct if (likely when) I go this heating route. I was looking at hydronic baseboard and modine type along with old style radiators when I came onto these:

What do you guys in the know think?

Thank You

Mahoning / Mahoning vs the field
« on: February 20, 2015, 05:04:00 PM »
 Hello,
I am looking for feedback from Mahoning users as far as reliability, years of use and what your heating with which model.
These seem to be the most popular in this part of WV maybe because their built in PA or maybe beacuse there original line burns coal but there is little buzz here or elsewhere on this brand.
How does Mahoning stack up to the more popular models as to design and features?
Thanks
