1 1/2" metal to plastic?

I am having issues wit hthe plastic fittings in my titanium shell/tube exchanger.  When the system is working properly, it seems ok as the water in the plastic side is cool, but when something goes wrong, like my 3-way valve leaking, it gets very hot leaks.  I was thinking perhaps I would be better with a metal-metal seal there.  Not surewhat is out there in 1 1/2" from metal and how to get back to plastic.  Do they even make a male adapter with a plastic transition?  Or could I use some kind of metal union, still need a plastic transition though.

Still grasping at how to get from the flange to PVC.  Could I use this?

1 1/2" Male Adapter Mipt x Slip CPVC Fitting Schedule 80

Seems the CPVC should be fine with the temps and then I could glue standard PVC into it.  Would you think the threads would leak?  I am assuming the white PVC is just not rated to handle that temp and it is deforming, but a glue joint should be fine.  I have had no issue with the joins up or downstream that are all glued.

Any reason I would need sch 80 vs sch 40?  I only have about 20psi in the system.
