Wire type for trailer lights?
« on: July 31, 2019, 07:48:04 PM »

I need to completely rewire my trailer and looking for best type of wire to use. I never had much luck with the flat trailer cable wire. Also, I have a lot of marker lights so single conductor would probably work better.

What type is the best and won't fall apart from being in the sun?

I’ve wired a bunch of trailers using outdoor extension cord. Not sure what to say about you’re marker lights, I usually run a 2 conductor cord to this and use the white wire as a direct ground for each light.

It looks like the lights I ordered have two wires so I will probably do that instead of trying to ground them to the frame.
