my owners manual says you can burn wood or coal but burning coal voids the warranty.thats why I wondered if shaver made a stove specific for coal.

My ex-oil guy probably wouldn't even talk to me now,When I was setting up the stove he came by and said "Oh what, you think your goin to save a buck or two" I told him I hope so if nothing else I wont have to listen to you piss and moan about draggin the hose around the house. The only thing I really miss about him is he did have nice calenders to hand out every year.

cherry seasoned 6 or 8 months is good stuff I never pass it up,lots of it here in ohio. Way better than soft maple.Imo

My blower is on the back of the stove in the ashpan on the bottom it blows up thru the grate, 99% of time I don't turn it off except like country boy said trying too rake it up and get the ash to fall down thru don't work good with the blower on.

I like too learn, thanks too this sight I have got a bunch of good imfo too help out.THANKS to all of you.  I ,cant wait until the chickens are running around the yard and the g-kids are getting chased by them and the tomatoes are growing tall.been a rough winter, stay warm Dwight
