I did it !!! the boiler/ guts >>> off season coating !

   here is a 60/40 mix of wd40 and fluid film !  it "mix's"  and it did not separate  (after sitting over nite/and the bubbles were gone) ...looks like a "old  :-X pee test in color"     fluid film 50 bucks a gallon wd is 20 bucks a gallon ..so I saved some bucks and I get the best of both worlds and >> IT GOES THUR A GARDEN PUMP SPRAYER !

Guinness is darker!!!!!!!!!

Good to know about the garden sprayer ...............but I just bought my gun.
Oh well maybe someone else can save a few bucks from your experiment.
