Title: 275G new boiler
Post by: racnruss on June 10, 2014, 08:32:17 PM
I have a friend that just bought a new Nature's Comfort 275G.

It is just like the 325 G but a bit smaller.  Nicer than the 250 in that it has a larger fuel door and a taller but not as deep firebox.  I am picking it up in Indiana for him on Thursday.   I just happened to be traveling down I80 to Pennsylvania and coming back with an empty flatbed.  So, I am picking up his 275G and a couple 250s for the local dealer he is buying it from.

Ah, good times with boilers.

I like it a lot better than the 250 too. I will probably be using one next winter instead of the GT220. (anyone looking for a used GT220?  LOL)

If you ever happen to be coming this way with an empty trailer and want to haul something, let me know. ;D

Man, talk about the right place and the right time!  What parts of Indiana will you be traversing?

Not sure where NC assembles their conventional stove, but the gassers are built in my area.

They are all made in the same area.

Well, made it home with 3 boilers.  One 275g and 2 250's.

That 275g is nice.   Now that I've seen it in person I like it even more.  Big Door  (25x27) and the chimney extends to within 6 inches of the floor and it is surrounded by water jacket in the firebox too.

I guess the only negative to that design is learning to step back for a minute when you first open the door because a bunch of smoke is going to come out.   But that happens with pretty much with all of them I guess.  Sure did with my gt-220.

Well, let me correct myself there.  My F in Law's hardy doesn't smoke out the door much because the smoke has a straight shot right out the top...works for him though.
