Seal went out on my Armstrong and costs 75 bucks . They sent me the wrong one so I'm thinking about upgrading .

Are you referring to a Delta T pump?

I can’t really see it saving much wood, however your power consumption should go down.

It depends on the system. An E9 is a big pump. I don't think the larger Taco pumps are ECM type so not sure there would be any power savings. The Armstrong E series pumps are supposedly really efficient but I never put a watt meter on one to test it out.

How old was the E9 pump? Did you have any other problems with it before the seals went out? Do you know if you needed a pump that big?
I am thinking about switching from mainly Grundfos over to Armstrong. They have a new variable ecm pump that is slightly larger than an alpha. I am ordering some to try out.

If you anyone wants to try one, let me know. Price would be lower than you can find it anywhere else if you are willing to reply back here how it is working out.

Only a few years old. Think seals went out last year underground pipe got hole and pump ran dry for awhile.
