d to sell me the HX ? What u really need to talk about is exposing to atmosphere did u add corrosion additive and TESTING THE QUALITY OF WATER!!!!! put a piece of steel wool in Masson jar full to top no air n see what it looks like in a day or two! Direct is fine depends on your setup! By the way I did ALL OF THE WORK PLUMBING THE WHOLE JOB NOT JUST SITTING HERE TALKING about what someone did for me!

Maybe you should ohm out the selinoids if I remember they should be between 15-30 ohms with wires all unplugged to ALL of them power  OFF,not sure what the fan ohms should be but it could be acting up,but does sound like it's the firestar but check selinoids before you could burn up the new firestar also.

My circulating pump runs constant to upstairs coil this for me is the. Best way so when house calls for heat upstairs the blower doesn't have to wait for boiler to heat the coil it takes time sometime that zone will not run all day due to downstairs heat rising upstairs everyone's set up is different mine works flawless it will. Vapor lock if pump starts n stop that's why the little 007 runs constant for all that water to cool off in attic could freeze if not run

Well running 15 min pulse cycles and working great, burn cycles are about every hour to hour and a half, everyone's heat load is different, good coal bed never went out since, put 5-6 pieces of wood in which is like 1/3 or less in firebox and runs over 12hs between loads with a burn time in 4-5 hr times and plenty of wood left for say 2-3 hrs.

You set oil at like a 150 so it will heat the house if fire out or u gone away to long, plus CB doesn't want the boiler to get cold n hot back n forth not good for condensation in firebox

There is a thermostat. Valve on the loop from outside if temp goes under 150 it shuts n circulates just the outside so oil inside is not trying to heat that
