You should have no issues running at 195.

Sorry you're having problems.  First I would check to see if the stove is getting air(door seals), make sure all pumps are pumping and check water level. I would bet it's getting air.

Plumbing / Re: Taco Pumps

I have had the impeller lockup twice on mine during start-up situations. I took pump apart and helped the pump rotate some then was ok. Taco pumps do not like the down time during the summer..

Can I burn coal in my cb 6048?

No, coal needs air coming in under it to burn right
Never burned coal. How about mixing some in while filling a cb?

I heat a house and shop with two Honeywell focuspro th5000 series. They are for 2heat/ 2cool systems. They are wired up as directed. The only issue is that if the indoor temp is lets say 70 degrees and u turn the heat on and enter 73 degrees the stat does all it can to reach that temp as fast as possible. It will go ahead and bypass the first stage of heat(OWB) and use gas/propane to meet stat temp. During cold weather i set stats at 73 degrees and don't adjust thermostats temp. The wife will sometimes adjust stat a couple degrees warmer and the propane will kick in since there's a big difference between the setpoint and  the indoor temp. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

Still buring. Can't bring myself to valve in the propane. It's so little wood to heat my two water heaters. Love my cb.

The permanganate u use to make the test turn pink is only good for @1 year. It goes bad quickly. I went through the same deal with water testing last year.   If your CB dealer is not close to u , u can get it on line at  store.outsideheating.com

After thinking about your problem i don't think it would be the door seal. If that were the case it would happen more often. Look at and check your damper. Sounds like it may not be working right. Maybe it's getting stuck open?? My 5036 is 3yrs. old so let us know what u find.
