First cold snap let's see what these G-series HeatMaster can do.

G-200 performance.
Just started to warm garage floor Slab 24x24 at 3:40.Not all insulated yet. House is 2300 square ft up stairs with 1248square ft In non insulated basement. .I'm going to fill furnace at 6:00 pm. And see what it goes threw for wood. Coldest day so far. Calling for 3degF. Not the best wood that I have red maple, birch,cherry,running around 30% moisture. 💦💦 🔥🔥🔥 ???

Same boat. First cold today with the g200. 16 for a high today with wind, 0 tonight. I loaded this morning at 6 am with 85 pounds of mixed hardwood. I left 90 pounds for my wife to load for the night burn. I run the house 2800 sq at 66 during the night and the wife cranks it up to 72 when she can't stand the 66 anymore. She punched it up to 72 at 10am. She loaded around 5 pm tonight and said that there was still 3-4 pieces left. I think that the 85 pounds equalled out to be around 7-8 splits. House kicks back to 66 at 9pm so that will take the load off for a little while. I'll be curious to see what we have left in the am.

Low temps are a real test, but for older homes wind plays more of a factor.

oh yeah, I’ve found when we installed some new siding fanfold and house wrap makes a tremendous difference.

We hit 0degF last night. Cool In house 65. Was thinking the boiler went out on cold water cut out when I woke up.  When I got out there boiler temp was 172. And off. Open the door. And 1foot deep of coals and three chunks of well chared wood. Garage was about 43 deg. Re-filled boiler with wood.
When I get home I will put the 2" foam in the bilco door for basement lots of cold coming in there.i forgot to do that .
Sometime I will finish insulating the 12x12 wall and ceiling I n garage.
Overall I am very impressed and happy with the G-200 performance.
ThingS will be better after I get house and Garage tightened up. Also use dryer wood next year.
