Saw not oiling?
« on: November 07, 2010, 08:43:19 PM »

I have a Husky 281XP that's not oiling the bar.

I've pulled the bar off and no oil comes out the port while running.
I've run thinner through it after letting it soak for a while... nothing.
I've tried compressed air....nada.
I used a hook to pull the suction tube up and pulled off the little filter... clean as a whistle.

Any other ideas...?

Is there any debris in the oil line?  Is the oiler adjustment set properly?

I know on my stihl ms290 there is an adjustment on the bottom side to adjust the bar oil.

I didn't know there was an oil adjustment...  I don't see anything that looks like it might be an oil adjustment?  I don't think I changed it at all...

I didn't see any blockage in the line either.

There should be a screw on the bottom (may need to turn upside down to see it).side just below the drive sprocket you will need a long skinny flat head to adjust.

just because you didn't change the oiler adjustment doesn't mean vibration didn't do it for you
