Ok i guess im just paranoid about it going out
ill set it to a 10 dege like my dealer recomended and see how it goes. Thanks for help
Yeah RSI has helped my hottub hook up
Without this website i would be lost  there is NOONE in my area that has  a OWB.I think your right im getting too much moisture build up and is making my draft door on the fan stick probably because the wood was a little damp plus its not running very long to only bring it up 2 degrees.

Ok its been incredibly warm here upper sixties.Mine is set at 160 with two degree diff
It will kick on at 158 and by the time it gets going it goes down to 157 then shuts off at 160 but normally hits 162 before it starts cooling down again.I have a 1/3 hp pump
one inch pex fully insulated around 80 foot loop
sits about 20 feet away from house. It hasnt been cold to really test it but .I can easily go over 14 plus hours without reloading wood. When it gets colder I may go through alot more wood.So far not much an arm load twice a day.Im going to hook my hot tub to it soon so it will deff use more wood then. Thanks for the help

So if i do a pump ill do a ranco 120v to run the pump to circulate the water in tub  which will also run jets

now its set up everytime i kick the jets on it heats water which is fine because it heats slowly so the water doesnt get rediculously hot.I wondering with the boiler it will prob make the water much hotter if i kick the pump on manually to run jets the water will get super hot.

Good idea i just got finished with a deck to put the tub on so maybe i can build the box under the deck in stead of removing the old pump
alt heating supply has a 1 inch spa install kit comes with aqua stat transformer and some fitting plus tube exhanger .
looks like about 550
which is what i paid for my hot tub used. Will i need two circ pumps?
one to circulate the water throught the heater exchanger when temps drops and another one for jets?

This is the pump mine has
There is not much room in there i may have to remove the pump and install tube exchanger and add new circ pump .Thanks for the help!

You make it sound easy .Is there a online diagram somewhere .I hooked up my heat exchanger in the house and plate exchanger to water heater no problem. So this cant be that hard im thinking.
Thanks

I have a Earth 305 owb  and a dream maker ecplise 110v 220 gallon hottub. From what i understand it recovers the heat off the pump motor to heat the water.Works great when over fifty outside below that it runs alot  uses around 1100watts running.MY question is how would connect this to my wood boiler considering the pump is how it heats the water.Would i need a different circ pump? Thanks i have it heating my house and water works great hopefully i can add my hottub to leave the boiler on all year.

Electronics / Using Aux heat setting on OWF
« on: November 26, 2012, 04:15:27 PM »
Hello i just bought a Earth 305 bear cub its great so far .Has a few kinks to work out.
I have a 1208 square foot modular and use a 16x16 heat exchanger above a coil (gonna move it below a coil next year)
and a 10 plate exchanger  inline with cold water line going into water heater water temp coming out of faucet is 118 which is hot enough i have a 15 month little girl. The aquastat is set at 160 the dealer told me to set the differential at 10 degrees That was way to far apart i changed it to five then 2 degrees. The fire would go out if i set it any further .I have a tran heat pump with electric backup so i turned the breaker off for the electric coil and set my thermostat for 73 degrees seems to work fine.IS there anything im missing? Thanks im new at this only been runing three days
