Insulated pex choices
« on: January 21, 2013, 06:51:34 PM »

Western ny...rocky and wet. 80 feet to basement wall. Trench is dug 30-40 inches deep. What pex do you recommend. eBay has some 5 wrap for 650ish free shipping....?

Thoughts. Thank you.

scott is right i bought my 5 wrap it ran me about $8 a foot for 5 wrap it was in 6 inch black plastic pipe....run sand on bottom more the better, and all around your pipe then put top soil on verytop of it so you dont have to worry about breaking the out side black pipe with a rock or something like that and getting rain water into your heating pipes..... making you lose btu's......  I live in northern ny on canda border we have lots of rock up her  to....lol
good luck let us know how you make out...

Yea if you can gain access to sand its definitely a good iddea.  If not I alway walk the trench throwing out as much rock as i can and kinda raking it down smooth as i go.
