Heat exchanger placement
« on: September 10, 2014, 05:51:39 AM »

There really is no reason that the heat exchanger has to be placed right inside the wall where the logstor comes thru the
wall is there ? I am building a mechanical room about 15 feet from where the logstor comes thru the wall and would like to put the
heat exchanger in there so all the plumbing is in there.

That will be fine Larry, if the mechanical room is going to be fairly airtight you might want to cut in some vents for air circulation as it will get pretty hot in there

I thought about that, it has to be well vented because the oil boiler will be in there and it needs the air for combustion.
Does it matter which end of the primary loop that the heat exchanger is on ?

Anywhere in the primary loop is fine!
