good thing its warm last 2 days , My temps on my boiler are staying about 90 -115 degrees last 2 days and wont get higher  , I thought maybe it was real wet punky wood but I cleared it out and put new in , I punched out the flue while it was so low and it didn't seem obstructed , I can open the door and flames spring up and get going good, I come back an hour later and open and no flame , just smoldering , the blower appear to be fine , its open and I can feel the air coming out through the tube underneath , its just seems its not getting enough air but i hear and see the fan running a usual and feel the air along the tube , it throws up a plume of smoke out the chimney, does seem like its not as strong as usual  , do the blowers fail or slow down ?  I took the fan  off 2 weeks ago and looked down the tube and it was clear

any thoughts

does your blower have a hing type door if it does maybe be something blocking it and not allowing all the air into firebox...? but like you said maybe the motor got hot and is now very week? I don't know if this info help or not? let us know what you find.

does have a circular door with a hinge, I can put my hand over it while open and feel the suction so it doesn't appear to be blocked , i can see it rotating and I feel and hear the air inside

when i was punching the flue out i was using a 6 inch round brush , my flue goes down straight then y;s into 2 smaller flues to the firebox, it would not go all the way down , I  took the brush off and ran just an old rod and it went all the way down and no obstructions and not gunk on it when done so I'm pretty certain its clear

What temp do you run that stove at? Gasser or conventional? I have found that 165 with 15 diff will burn about anything with 0 blockage of the chimney.

165/180  , it was working fine up till yesterday , It s a hoss 400he , supposed to be a Gasser , i think its a cross between straight flue and a gasser

Sounds like your wood it still wet even though you put new wood in..

Mine was  struggling a few weeks ago. I pulled the ashes and coals away from the flue ports inside the firewbox and it has worked fine since. When I push in large wood the ashes and coals get pushed to the back and blocks the ports.

that was one of my first thoughts , I took everything out and started over , if its still doing this in the morning , I'm going to run the brush down again , there's got to be a restriction if the fan is working and blowing air in  , its putting air in but isn't going out at the same speed so its starving for air , thats the only thing i can come up with

OK ,Success !!

 took and old brush and put it on grinder and made it a 4 inch , punched the chimney  out real good all they way to bottom and undoubtedly that was it , it was 112 at 7 am , now at 1000 am its 178 degrees , so were back to cooking with fire
