Ok Homemade traps that actually work?   Anyone?

Hand grenade and dynamite is a very good option, although out of stock at the moment.

They will destroy an attic or any insulation in your walls. I know a guy that had a colony in his attic and had to remove and replace all insulation and patch all the holes they made everywhere

Sounds as bad as those damn pineys. Me and a buddy de-pineyed the farm one time after one of those SOB's ran up my arm after opening a drawer in the old corn crib while looking for a bearing.

Could try a rat trap if they are small enough, almost got a red squirrel with one.  The red squirrels like to live in my attic, got a few with small box trap and nuts.  Gave them to a trapper said they make Barbie clothes out of them in.  Good luck they are tricky to trap, still have one to get, dog is on a mission to find it.

That's funny you mentioned your dog, over the past few years my dogs have gotten more than the cats, off course I am still ahead with the Bb gun.

Around here we put a strobe light in the attic it drives them out, but the light has to cover every inch of space so you mite need more then one works great

Only bad thing about moth balls is they stink to rodents as well as people I can't stand the smell of them.

Eviction notices handed out last night, caught three in some rat sticky traps.
