Victor6deep What company did you get your insulated pipe from. Z supply or dealer, there is a company name Badger. Do have any idea of how much heat loss you may have. I'm a little over 100 foot from my house.

It would seem to me that if you have a ash or hot coal build up in bottom of the fire box it would be hard for the fan to force air up through the grates  from the bottom of the fire box so over the top of the ash would burn better and hotter.

So I guess no mater what pipe you use you need to bury it well below the freeze line.

Sprinter not sure how to get to tour threads. My plan is to run thermopex 145 feet to the house then 50 foot to the plate exchanger 4 foot to the furnace heat exchanger back to the boiler approx. 200 feet. This sure simple is there a better way that's  more efficient. What is negative pressure

Im confused do you need a draft across the top of the fire and from the bottom both to get good burns? So if you only have a forced draft  across the top your burn isn't as good.

Anyone ever use the foil wrap underground insulation. Ive been told that if you don't poke a hole in it, it works good.
