question on pump settings

Since my install last November I've been running my furnace at 185 high with a 20 degree difference. The pumps are both set on high. Can the pumps be switched on low or medium to save wood in the non heating months or can they be turned off until DHW is needed.

The pump on the wood boiler is suppose to be running 24hrs a day while you have a live fire in your wood boiler regardless..In the non heating months you shouldn't burn nothing for wood (24hrs+ before reload) regardless of what temp you have it set at, unless you have a huge demand for hot water..

What kind of DHW heat exchanger do you have? You have 2 pumps? Are they in series?
What is the total length round trip of you pipe, what size is it and what model are your pumps.
