Currently have a old furnance in the garage and it has a heat exchanger installed in it.  Looking at getting rid of it and installing a hydronic unit heater.   What’s your thoughts on both.

Also how do you size a unit heater?  How many BTU per square ft

Having problems maintaining a temperature.  Have it set at 160, I can have it full of wood and it varies between 165 when it finally gets up there.   This morning it was full of two year old hedge wood and the temp was only 110. Any ideas on what is happening here?

Electronics / high Limit wiring on heast source stove
« on: September 28, 2010, 09:12:27 PM »
We are in the process of installing a New Heat Source 190 at my dad's home.  The electrical is layed in 14-3 as per the instruction manual.  The piping is also installed.  The manual says I need to hook the red wire from the high limit on the stove to the furnance blower and when temperature over 195 is reach it will energize that wire with 120 volts.   Where on my furnance does the red wire install.  I have asked the company and there answer was "your electrician should know."  I asked my electrician and he advised to look at the manual.  even my HVAC guy won't tell me.  I asking for some desperate help here
