Hey Hockeyguy, you and I are the same in that we cut our own hair, difference is you use scissors or a clipper, I use a wood boiler :bash:
I do use the wood boiler for my eyebrows!!
Forgot politics. I'm a crazy mix of right of center, independent, libertarian and blue dog democrat. I think we're  takin it hard from all politicians.
Love the humor you guys bring. Good to know I'm not the only demented one around!

Orr is still one of the most respected people in the Boston sports scene. I've never heard a bad word spoken of him. I enjoyed Cherry's time as coach and am thankful his fashion never caught on. LOL

I enjoy sites like this because besides all the knowledge you gain, you won't find a better group of honest, hard working salt of the earth type of people anywhere else.

As for me: 47 years old, self employed electrical contractor, wife of 20 years and 2 teenage daughters who mean everything to me. I'm 5'10, 208 lbs. and now cut my own hair since it just doesn't make sense to go to the barber since there's hardly anything left. I enjoy working out, cutting wood(usually), working on my house, being outside on our land, spending time with my family and also spending time at our place on the NH seacoast. I actually enjoy my job as well.

Great idea to start this topic!

kommandokenny- I see you're located near Parry Sound. Been hearing about that town since I was a kid when #4 came to town and became a legend.

Like anything else in this world, follow the money. When you're being paid by a certain group to produce stats, you make sure the stats. are favorable so you can keep getting paid to produce more stats. Have you heard the new one "it's climate, not weather"? Yet the first hot day this summer, the media will be telling us it's global warming. :bash: Then when someone comes out with a dissenting opinion, they're labeled a denier or ignorant. I even heard one report saying all the snow in the Northeast this year was because the air is warmer. An excuse for every occasion.

I'm all for respecting and preserving what we have and try to do my part, just spare me the scare tactics and leave my wallet alone.

Randy,
I wouldn't worry too much about the firebox cracks unless they get real big and warp the firebox. Then you'll see a decrease in airflow and reaction chamber temps. Most eclassic owners seem to get them. Mine got to be about 4" inches long and haven't grown in the last few years.  Good luck

Go  Leafs go. :bash:

Where bouts are you located, Hockey?????
Do we have to get into this here? :D   I'm in Central N.H. and a lifelong Bruins fan. Not real happy with the way things are going this year, but then again the hockeygods granted me my one wish in 2011! I call no bashing from Habs fans.

E-classic 2300. In 5th year heating well insulated 2000 sq. feet plus dhw. Have stayed consistent each year between 8 and 10 cord of mixed hardwoods. In a cold year like this, I'll go through a cord every 2 weeks in Jan. and Feb. From what friends in the heating business tell me,  it's the dhw that really sucks out the btus.

In my 5th season with a C.B. E2300 and very happy so far. For my next boiler, either a P&M 250 gasser or something with storage like a Garn.
