Christmas Eve - Motorcycle Weather?
« on: December 24, 2015, 04:00:44 AM »

Hi all, okay, it's Christmas Eve.  It should be cold with ample snow covering the ground with my neighbor racing his snowmobiles around his field.  Well, this year my nephew and I are taking our motorcycles out of winter storage and going for a ride.  Who knows when we'll be able to ride a motorcycle on Christmas Eve again?  So we figured we'd take advantage of the warm weather and hit the road for a short ride.  Why not?  Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!  Roger

Several guys went out yt for rides yesterday. I saw bunches of bikes out today when i was traveling to the flat parts for dinner.   My Triumph is put away though. Have too much going on to get it out.

Unfortunately I never did make it out with the bike on Christmas Eve or Christmas.  There was way too much stuff in the way and I didn't have time nor the desire to deal with it.  My nephew decided not to go either.  He didn't risk it knowing he's a single dad and way too many idiots were on the roads on Christmas Eve.  Perhaps another time - yeah, right!  Roger

I hear yah, had a moron pull a sh*t for brains stunt on us yesterday. Passed on a hill, I hit the brakes and so did the guy coming the other way then not a hundred foot later the jackass that passed us slams on his brakes to make a left turn into a driveway. Gave him a good blast wit the horn as well as a your number one hand salute. I think he got reamed good as I could see his wife/girlfriend chewing his ear off and getting ready to start on his *ss next.

I gotta get a dash cam one of these days just to record the stupid.

Thats^^^ why the extra cash we had one spring got spent on a Polaris Ranger instead of a Harley.

I rode on a trail system with a bunch of guys on the 23rd in the rain, and then several of the same guys on Christmas Eve at my house.  We tossed together a quick track and started to break it in.

NEEDS MORE TREES.

I see you have Bark Busters so you know the drill, cut the handle bars down to 29”.

I ran Harescrambles and Enduro’s for years, wore out a YZ80 and a YZ125 on em, still have my YZ250WR.

Me thinks my dirt bike days are over though, just watching you cross the first log made my back spasm.

Thanks for that btw, now its time for a cold beer. ;)

We had our second child back in January which is the reason why we put 2 (yes, two) miles on the Harley all summber.  I started the bike, rode it down the road and came right back and parked it.  It's pretty depressing, really.....
