Go out to fill the boiler tonight, huge amounts of rain.  Currently turning over to snow I lost my wedding ring somewhere can't find it.  Problem is because of the rain I have puddles and deep pockets of mud everywhere.  Went over the area many times with a flash light and can't find it.. Its possible it went into the fire box throwing in wood.  I realized half way through it was gone went to the area where I last picked up wood no luck...I normally wear gloves but with rain I decided not to... Sometimes you just can't win..  :bash:

I lost my original wedding ring in the ball pit at The Kids Zone indoor playground when my daughter was 5.  Even offering $100 to any kid willing to dig around in the pit and find it.  In the end, it was never recovered and I bought another.

It happens. Stinks but,,, it does indeed happen.  :-\

I'll be adding a significant portion of gravel before next season in the area around my boiler.  Mud sucks.  I'm looking at about 2-3 dump truck loads to get dumped in the spring.

Yep living in a mud pit right now, I much prefer winters where it gets cold and stay cold right till spring. Frozen ground is easier to deal wit than mud and I can at least push snow out of the way, haven’t had much luck pushing standing water around.

I’ve been married for 15 years now, still original ring, only had it off once when I jammed the ring finger, figured I better get it off before it had to be cut off.

Orginal ring was slightly  too big, so I bought the exact same one in a smaller size a week later. Have the original one in a drawer in my wife's jewelry box ever since and wear the replacement 100% of the time.

I've been married 30 years and after a 2 week honeymoon the ring came off and got locked up, just like I told her would happen. Between machine shop work, farm work, wood cutting, etc. there are too many opportunities to lose a finger or the ring, plus I'm just not into jewelry. I do hope you find it.

I hope I can still find it, looked around today on the ground no luck, at this point is probably in the boiler ash somewhere.  Titanium can survive the heat for awhile right?

Yep, used on the leading wing edge of the SR71 Blackbird.

409 stainless used to be referred commonly as titanium enhanced.

I'm with gspren, just not into jewelry.

Plus as a paramedic for past 20 years just seen too many fingers torn up from wedding rings getting caught.  But, I've seen a bunch of motorcycle accidents too and still ride. :P

Watched a guy jump down off the back of an old 3 ton truck and roll around on the ground screaming.
Had no idea what was going on till I noticed his ring and finger was stuck to the hinge pin on the swing door of the truck.
Nasty sight!!

Ain’t never snagged my wedding ring, I’ve had to buff the odd weld splatter out a few times though.

First machine shop I worked at I saw a guy get his wedding band caught in a machine, mostly you will only ever do it once.

Yah I’m sure it ain’t pretty. I’m an odd duck though, grew up on this farm, I’m 46 now and started driving tractors at the tender age of 6, was running them down the road before I was 10, so been farming for 40 years and still have all my fingers and toes, have never broken a bone and have never needed stitches.
