Title: Price for a Taylor water stove
Post by: capon3 on August 21, 2011, 07:11:43 PM
Does anyone know what would be a fair price for a used Taylor T450 that is about 10 years old with no known problems or defects? I am looking to purchase one from a guy, he is asking $3,250. Seems a little steep to me, but I know nothing about the value of a used owb. Thank you in advance.

With all due respect Taylor is one of the most
inefficient stoves made.  It and shaver are the two I tell customers here to avoid altogether.  3250 -10 years old, no way.  I wouldn't give that if it were new.

scott has got this one right.   That is WAY to much money for that stove.  My dad has a taylor 450 and it does the job, but it is very inefficient and smokes like a locamotive all the time.  I don't know for sure but I think you can buy one brand new for around 5k.  10 yrs old and not knowing how well it was maintained, I wouldn't give 500 for it!!  Keep looking you will find a better deal than that.
