I always look at it as I am using twice the amount of BTU's to keep the house the same temp when it is 0 degrees out compared to when it is 35 degrees. HUGE difference.

It's been done many times up here this winter.  It's gonna be 105 degree difference for the next 3 nights again.  Brrrrrr...

It was -16 on my way to work this am. House was 74. That's my second 90 of the year!
Man, you guys were raised a lot tougher than I was :)
I'm sure glad I made the move to a gasser 4 years ago.
I couldn't imagine, at my age and state of fattness, processing 50% MORE wood to burn.
I usually try to cut about 5 or 6 more cords than I burn each year.
I want to have about 80 or 90 cords all ready to burn by the time I retire. I'm about 1/3rd of the way there!!!!
