Hi all - I have the week off this week from work so I have decided to fire to the CB Classic Edge 550 HD, as soon as I get some other work out of the way. This old house isn't as warm as I like it (lower 60's, prefer mid 70's) so I'm going to fire her up to break the chill. I won't miss hearing the oil burner running to heat the DHW either. So, off to another season of OWB heat! :) Roger

Fired up here the other day. Last few years its been one day earlier each year for some reason?

Wouldn't you know it, I fired up the Edge 550 on Tuesday when it was pouring rain, cold and raw with wind out of the northeast, today the weather is supposed to be sunny and in the low 70's. We're expecting rain and colder temps tomorrow and Saturday (it may not make it out of the 40's on Saturday) so I do not feel I've jumped the gun on firing her up. Roger

Roger, enjoy the warmth. I had the oil tank, furnace and oil fired hot water tank replaced this year with propane, as tank was due to be replaced according to insurance (what a scam).
So now I still have to reinstall my exchanger and related piping which am still waiting for, grrrrr. Otherwise I would probably be firing mine up as well. Stay warm.

Started mine yesterday.

Picked up the last few pieces to reinstall my heat exchangers after replacing the oil furnace, hope to fire up this weekend. About a week earlier than usual.

Mine runs all year. I heat my swimming pool and use it for hot water.i will probably turn up the thermostats tonight. Supposed to go down to the lower 30 tonight.
